DONALD STERLING vs. RICHIE INCOGNITO & THE REST OF THE WORLD

Here's my two-cents on the whole insipid Donald Sterling controversy: Donald Sterling, the WHITE owner of the basketball teams the Clippers, made some "racist" comments during a conversation with his rather whacky "girlfriend" or "assistant" or whatever the hell she was that she recorded WITHOUT his knowledge or consent wherein he told her not to bring black people to any Clipper games after she posted a photo she took with Magic Johnson online or whatever. Of course, the expecting "outrage" ensued wherein Mr. Sterling was banned for life from attending any future Clippers games by the NBA commissioner and, at the time of this writing, may be "forced" to sell the Clippers to another party.

Frankly, I can't see what all the hoopla (pardon the pun!) is about Sterling's comments given that he apparently has a history of this type of "racist" behavior. I mean, the man has even been sued for racial discrimination, including by the government when he reportedly refused to rent apartments to--you guessed it!--black people. It reminds me of the phony "outrage" directed at Paula Deen and that Duck Dynasty guy. I mean, a middle-aged WHITE woman from the South copping to saying The N Word once or twice in her life and a long-bearded backwoods Bible-thumper saying in a magazine interview how he's "against" homosexuality? What a damned shocker! To top it all off, Donald Sterling was actually set to win a "lifetime achievement" award before his "controversy" from none other than the NAACP for his charitable "work" with minorities and such (of course, Donald had made "donations" to the NAACP, but I digress). So, again, I ask why all the "outrage"? Especially when you consider the virtual free pass professional football player Richie Incognito got after it was revealed how he was "harassing" his fellow BLACK players with racial and other taunts--yes, including The N Word (read above RI pic)--from the very same people who are now going after Donald Sterling with such a bloodthirsty vengeance. Hell, he "harassed" one player Jonathan Martin so much with not only "racist" taunts--yes, including The N Word--but actually threatening to MURDER his entire family that he ended up quitting the team. And, while Richie did get suspended (at least for a time) and there was at least SOME "controversy" over his heinous acts, he still got nowhere near the widespread condemnation that Sterling has thus far received. I mean, not only was he NOT banned from playing football entirely, but Richie's fellow BLACK teammates actually came out and voiced their inexplicable "support" of their beleaguered beloved teammate (and NOT for "bullied" Martin). Some even suggested that Martin should've just "manned up" and took Incognito's abuse (including, apparently, the direct threats to his family).

Another thing I'd like to know is, as basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar himself alluded to about this particular incident, where's all the "outrage" from the lefties and others about the fact that this was a PRIVATE conversation that was ILLEGALLY taped and "provided" to the public regardless of what was said, no matter how heinous, during said conversation? I mean, we hear so much damned noise from the lefties and their cohorts about how--that's right!--ILLEGAL it is for the government to "secretly" tape citizen's PRIVATE conversations and such for whatever reason. And, yes, for the record, it IS very much ILLEGAL to tape someone's conversation in the state of California--and elsewhere--WITHOUT that person's knowledge and/or consent. Which is precisely why I strongly feel that Donald Sterling's "girlfriend" or "assistant" or whatever the hell she was should be prosecuted to the FULLEST extent of the law. But, due to all the P.C. nonsense that's currently overtaken the public dialogue like a VERY bad case of the clap, that's NOT likely to happen anytime soon. (Sitting next to her in the cell, if I had MY way, would be Richie Incognito himself for threatening to MURDER a man's entire family, but then, that's just me!)

I personally DON'T give a hot damn about Donald Sterling or Richie Incognito or any other sports figure, for that matter. I feel we give far too much to sports stars in THIS country, which, of course, may explain why so many said sports stars get away with so much vile shit that it's not even funny, including sexual assault (including statutory rape) and even murder. I mean, some of these sports figures can make pitbull-killing Michael Vick look like a damned choirboy! Hell, I'd bet that if O.J. Simpson was STILL out there throwing that damned football around and winning football games there'd be a hell of a lot more people, especially in White America, "supporting" him while he was on trial for double homicide. And, as fellow team owner Mark Cuban himself alluded to, if you want to hear some "racist" rantings, stick a tape recorder in a locker room! Of course, the players would probably be given a--that's right!--free pass for whatever "racist" thing they DID in fact say given the way others--lefties or otherwise--pick & choose who they get "outraged" about, which is what I find particularly "offensive", you know what I mean? My guess is that Donald Sterling has made these type of comments IN PRIVATE for years and no one batted an eye to it and it only became an "issue"--especially with his fellow WHITE team owners (who probably feel the same way as HE does, if truth be told)--until it became public; again, you know what I mean?

The bottom line is, we have far, far, FAR more important issues to concern ourselves with in this country rather than the ramblings, "racist" or otherwise, of some millionaire sports team owner or whoever. (An example: 1 in 5 children go hungry every year in this country.) And the more we talk about the "antics" of Donald Sterling, the LESS we're talking about more important issues, including issues that TRULY affect minorities (like poverty and such). Which, of course, I would strongly suspect how the powers-that-be WANT it, you know what I mean? All the hoopla (again, pardon the pun!) about Donald Sterling reminds me of a similar "controversy" about baseball player John Rocker who himself publicly made "racist" remarks years ago and he, too, was widely condemned for them. Of course, people have long since forgotten about John Rocker just like they'll "forget" Donald Sterling and his "controversial" comments. That is, until the next famous--or semi-famous--WHITE person makes "racist" comments and the cycle will start all over again.

But then, it all depends on WHICH white person makes said "racist" comments, am I right, lefties?

Here's a clip of former MSNBC pundit Keith Olbermann actually criticizing Richie Incognito:
